Suga released a letter confirming the completion of his military service. All seven BTS members have now finished their mandatory service.

Suga, a prominent member of the global K-pop sensation BTS, has completed his mandatory military service in South Korea, making it official that all seven members have now finished their enlistment duties.

According to BIG Hit, the group's management, Suga finished his service after utilizing his remaining leave, with his official discharge date set for Saturday.

No special events were organized for Suga's discharge to avoid overcrowding, as confirmed by BIG Hit.

For fans of BTS, known as BTS ARMY, this marks a significant moment as the seven members plan to reunite as a group in 2025 following the completion of their service.

Previously, RM and V were discharged from the military last week, followed by Jimin and Jung Kook a day later. Jin and J-Hope had completed their service duties in June 2024 and October, respectively.

While six members served in the army, Suga fulfilled his duty as a social service agent due to a previous shoulder injury, which is an alternative form of military service in South Korea.

Under South Korean law, all able-bodied men aged 18 to 28 are required to serve 18-21 months in the military to deter aggression from North Korea. Special exemptions are granted to certain individuals like athletes, musicians, and dancers with top prizes, but K-pop stars do not receive such privileges.

In 2020, BTS delayed their service until age 30 after a revision to the Military Service Act allowed K-pop stars to postpone enlistment. There was a public debate in 2022 about special exemptions for BTS, but ultimately, all seven members decided to fulfill their duties.

Suga addressed the BTS ARMY directly in a letter posted on Weverse, HYBE's social media platform, expressing gratitude for their patience and apologizing for any disappointments or worries caused in the past. He reassured fans of their commitment to repay the love they have received.

In his message, Suga reflected on his two-year hiatus, stating that it was a time for self-reflection and growth. He acknowledged past mistakes and expressed his love and appreciation for the fans, promising to keep them updated in the future.
