Aiming to raise awareness about dengue, a special campaign has been initiated in the district, featuring weekly events to educate the public. One recent event took place in the Tung Bala area of Majitha Road, bringing together health workers, ASHA workers, and nursing students for an awareness rally.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Kirandeep Kaur highlighted the importance of collaboration between the health department and the community to prevent mosquito breeding. She stressed the need to halt mosquito breeding during the rainy season, urging individuals to ensure there is no water accumulation that could facilitate breeding. Dr. Kaur encouraged everyone to play their part in preventing water accumulation in their homes and surroundings.

Furthermore, Dr. Kirandeep Kaur recommended preventive measures to the public, including regularly changing water in coolers and fridges, avoiding water accumulation in pots, tanks, and rooftops, and using mosquito repellent creams.
