President Asif Ali Zardari officially introduced the Benazir Hunarmand Programme, emphasizing the importance of education and skill development in every household. The launch event took place at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where the president highlighted the program's focus on inclusive prosperity and education for all, following the legacy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.

President Zardari stressed the significance of skills development for national progress and meeting international market demands. He specifically mentioned the nursing profession as a sought-after field globally and called for prioritizing training in this area. Additionally, he emphasized the need for youth to acquire modern technical skills and foreign language proficiency to secure jobs abroad.

Reflecting on his previous initiative, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), President Zardari expressed gratitude to former Finance Minister Naveed Qamar for his role in its establishment. He announced plans to enhance BISP and introduce more programs to support marginalized communities.

Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, highlighted BISP's significant impact over the past 17 years, providing financial assistance to millions of families, particularly women. She emphasized BISP's role in supporting flood affectees and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Khalid explained that the Benazir Hunarmand Programme, utilizing BISP's database, aims to empower citizens through practical training in various fields, fostering economic growth and poverty reduction.
