Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has praised Maryam Nawaz's governance model, describing it as non-political and people-centric.

In response to opposition accusations, Azma highlighted that under Maryam Nawaz's leadership, every member now has the freedom to express themselves, unlike in the past when democratic voices were suppressed in the House.

She emphasized that the current budget focuses on public welfare, with Rs300 billion allocated for law and order. The Punjab police have been equipped with modern weapons to enhance their effectiveness in combating terrorism, with police posts established across the province, including remote riverine areas.

Azma Bokhari also pointed out that Rs811 billion have been set aside for the education sector. This includes upgrading schools, setting up modern IT labs, providing new furniture, distributing Google certifications, laptops, and scholarships. Despite a false case against Shehbaz Sharif's laptop scheme, its positive impact is evident.

For the health sector, Rs630 billion have been allocated for revamping public hospitals, offering free medicines, improving health clinics, and deploying young doctors. Medical services are now accessible at the Union Council level, with free medications provided for serious illnesses like cancer, hepatitis, and tuberculosis.

Regarding local government elections, Bokhari reminded the opposition that they were responsible for dissolving elected local bodies in Punjab. She confirmed that the process for new local bodies' elections is currently in progress.
