A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning as PC Ian Minett of Gloucestershire Constabulary passed away while on duty. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently classified as unexplained, though not suspicious, with the coroner notified of the situation.

The police force expressed their condolences, stating, 'We extend our thoughts and prayers to Pc Minett’s family, friends and colleagues, and we ask that his family are given privacy at this difficult time.'

Adam Williams, chairman of Gloucestershire Police Federation, shared, 'I was lucky enough to work with Ian and he was well liked amongst all that had the pleasure of working alongside him and getting to know him. It is a massive loss to the shift, the station, and to the Constabulary as a whole.'
