An American wanted in the US for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon was arrested on Saturday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2, the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group said Sunday.

The 47-year-old male suspect was nabbed upon his arrival at NAIA Terminal 2 from Caticlan, the PNP AVSEGROUP said in a press release.

The arrest was conducted via a joint operation of the Bureau of Immigration–Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) and the Aviation Security Unit-NCR, NAIA Police Station 2.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued on May 14, 2025. A bail of $1 million was set by the court.

The suspect was placed under the custody of the BI Warden Facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City for booking and documentation.
