The final results are in for San Antonio’s June 7 municipal runoff election.
Two-time Democratic congressional candidate Gina Ortiz Jones will become San Antonio’s next mayor, beating out Rolando Pablos, a close ally of Texas’ GOP leaders.
San Antonio city councilwoman Sukh Kaur was reelected to a second term in District 1, Misty Spears flipped District 9 and Ivalis Meza Gonzalez won in District 8 — and Ric Galvan pulled out a narrow victory in District 6.
For the first time, the winners will all serve four-year terms.
