Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident in Sydney's South-West Leads to Woman's Arrest

A man was struck by a car while getting out of another car, police said.

A tragic incident unfolded in Sydney's south-west as a man lost his life in an alleged hit-and-run this morning. The victim, a 46-year-old man, was struck by a Mitsubishi sedan while exiting another vehicle on Junction Road in Leumeah around 10 am.

Upon receiving reports of the crash, police rushed to the scene to find the man critically injured. Despite receiving immediate medical attention from paramedics and being transported to Liverpool Hospital, the man succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation was promptly launched, and a crime scene was established. Authorities were able to locate the Mitsubishi at a nearby sports center, where they apprehended a 77-year-old woman in connection with the incident. The woman was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for further evaluation.

As of now, no charges have been filed, and law enforcement is appealing to the public for any additional information that may aid in their investigation.
