On Monday night, the BET Awards marked its 25th anniversary, recognizing the top talents in Black entertainment and culture. Comedian Kevin Hart hosted the live event, featuring performances by Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, GloRilla, T.I., Bow Wow, and more. The ceremony paid tribute to the iconic '106 & Park' show and its hosts, including Free Marie, A.J. Calloway, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J.
Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, and Kirk Franklin were honored as Ultimate Icons. Kendrick Lamar led the nominations with 10 nods, followed by Doechii, Drake, Future, and GloRilla with six each.
The show aired at 8 p.m. ET on BET, as well as on MTV, MTV2, Pop, Logo, CMT, and Paramount Network. The red-carpet show kicked off at 6 p.m. ET. Known for surprises and star-studded moments, the BET Awards promised an exciting evening filled with memorable highlights.
