An eyewitness shared that Raj Kushwaha, one of the accused in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya, drove a vehicle to transport people to the victim's funeral. Raghuvanshi's body was discovered near Wei Sawdong Falls in Sohra on June 2.
Following a series of arrests related to Raja Raghuvanshi's murder, including his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is accused of orchestrating the crime, the case took a dramatic turn. Lakshman Singh Rathore, who attended the victim's funeral, mentioned that Kushwaha, Sonam's alleged lover, drove a vehicle arranged by her family for the attendees.
After getting married on May 11, Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi went for their honeymoon in Meghalaya. However, they went missing on May 23, leading to search operations. Raja's body was found near Weisawdong Falls on June 2.
Out of the four individuals arrested in connection with the murder, one was apprehended in Uttar Pradesh and two in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem revealed that the first arrest was made in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, the second in Indore, and the third in Indore as well.
Sonam Raghuvanshi was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur, where she allegedly tried to mislead the police by claiming to have been drugged. She is accused of conspiring with Kushwaha to kill her husband. An Indore police officer mentioned that Kushwaha was in contact with the hired killers for weeks before the crime.
Despite the accusations, Sonam's family refutes her involvement and has demanded a CBI investigation into the case.
