Bollywood actor Aamir Khan surprised audiences at a special screening of his highly anticipated film 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. After the screening, he received a heartfelt standing ovation from the audience. The emotional response from viewers reflected a shared sense of inspiration, with many praising the film for changing perceptions towards individuals with Down syndrome and autism.
The film, directed by R.S. Prasanna, features Khan alongside Genelia Deshmukh and ten newcomers who are specially-abled. Director Prasanna expressed that working with these newcomers was a rewarding experience, highlighting their rawness and beauty as an advantage in the film.
'Sitaare Zameen Par' is the official Hindi adaptation of the Spanish sports comedy-drama 'Champions' (2018) and follows the success of Khan's 2007 hit 'Taare Zameen Par'. Unlike its predecessor, this film focuses on characters with Down syndrome and autism, with Aamir's character finding redemption and growth through coaching players with special needs.
