West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran calls time on his nine-year international career.

Nicholas Pooran, a prominent West Indies batter, has decided to retire from his nine-year international cricket career. Pooran first gained attention as a young player when he represented the West Indies at the 2014 U19 Men's Cricket World Cup. He then made his senior international debut in a T20I against Pakistan two years later.

In 2018, Pooran made his ODI debut and was also part of the West Indies Cricket World Cup 2019 squad. He was later appointed as the vice-captain for the West Indies team for the 2021 Men's T20 World Cup. Pooran also led the team in both white-ball formats during a six-month period in 2022, which included the Men's T20 World Cup campaign.
