Four were injured in the attack that hit medical and residential buildings, the Odesa Governor said.

Following a Ukrainian drone strike known as 'Operation Spider's Web' on Russian air bases, US President Donald Trump spoke with Vladimir Putin, who pledged a strong response to the attacks.

Air raid alerts were issued in various regions of Ukraine during the attack, including Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv.

Kyiv Mayor Klitschko urged residents to seek shelter as the capital faced a massive attack.

Timur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv's military administration, reported that the attacks in different districts occurred simultaneously, leading to debris falling on multiple buildings and fires breaking out.

In Odesa, Governor Kiper stated that patients and staff were able to evacuate the targeted medical station and maternity ward, although ambulances were damaged.

The injured individuals were receiving medical treatment, while the identity of the 59-year-old casualty has not been disclosed.

This incident occurred following the initiation of a prisoner swap aimed at returning sick and heavily wounded prisoners of war, individuals under 25, and the remains of 12,000 soldiers.

President Zelensky described the exchange as a complex process with many sensitive details, to be carried out in stages.

Russian President Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022.
