A tragic incident unfolded as a London-bound passenger plane carrying 242 people crashed shortly after take-off in India. Air India has reported that among the passengers were 169 Indian nationals and 53 Britons who were on board the flight headed for Gatwick.

As the news of the crash spread, anxious relatives gathered outside hospitals in Ahmedabad to await updates on their loved ones. Poonam Patel, who is currently at the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, shared that his sister-in-law was one of the passengers on the ill-fated flight to London. He mentioned that he received the devastating news of the crash within an hour and rushed to the hospital immediately.

One mother, Ramila, recounted the harrowing experience of her son who was at the doctors' hostel when the plane crashed. Fortunately, he managed to jump from the second floor to safety, sustaining injuries but ultimately surviving the ordeal.
