The Times UK, which first reported the story, said team captain Lee Mack looked distinctly unimpressed by the incident.

During the recording of the BBC panel show Would I Lie To You?, David Walliams reportedly made Nazi salutes, causing controversy. The 53-year-old actor, who recently left Britain's Got Talent, allegedly performed the gesture twice during the filming of the show's Christmas special. This incident occurred while his teammate, Helen George from Call The Midwife, was sharing a story about her time on Strictly Come Dancing.

While George was trying to convince the opposing team that her story was true, they commented that her wave was 'too little'. In response, Walliams joined in with a more vigorous wave that ended in a Nazi salute. Host Rob Brydon reportedly reprimanded Walliams for the gesture, but he later made another salute with a sexual connotation after some light-hearted jokes.

The Times UK, which first reported the story, mentioned that team captain Lee Mack appeared unimpressed by the incident. Although footage of the incident will not be broadcast, the audience member who witnessed it expressed surprise on social media.

In the past, Walliams faced backlash for making disrespectful comments about Britain's Got Talent contestants during breaks in filming. Fremantle, the production company behind the show, apologized for the leaked comments and reached a resolution with Walliams after he sued them for breaching data law.

A spokesperson for Banijay UK, the production company of Would I Lie To You?, condemned the offensive gesture and assured that it would not be broadcast. The BBC also issued an apology for the incident, stating that such gestures are completely unacceptable.

Representatives for David Walliams have not yet commented on the matter.
