While Helldivers 2 still holds the record for the highest number of players at one point, Stellar Blade managed to outperform titles like Ghost of Tsushima, God of War 2018, and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. This achievement is even more remarkable considering the strong fan base of these established franchises.
Sony's move to bring some of its exclusive titles to PC has faced criticism due to declining interest over time. Sequels like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok failed to match the success of their predecessors, and technical issues upon launch have further dampened the excitement surrounding these ports.
