Viktor Gyokeres will NOT join Man Utd this summer for two reasons, per huge reports coming on Saturday, with Arsenal now strongly expected to tie up a deal.

Viktor Gyokeres will not be joining Manchester United this summer due to two key reasons, according to reports from the Portuguese media. Arsenal is now expected to secure a deal for the Sporting CP striker, who has been in high demand after an impressive goal-scoring record.

The Swedish player has scored 97 goals in 102 matches for the Primeira Liga champions, sparking interest from top Premier League clubs. Despite talks with both Arsenal and Man Utd, the situation has soured over conflicting reports about a potential agreement allowing Gyokeres to leave Sporting CP.

While rumors of a move to Old Trafford were circulating, Record now claims that negotiations have broken down with United. The club failed to meet the asking price and convince the player to make the switch, making Arsenal the preferred destination for Gyokeres.

The report suggests that Sporting CP is holding out for €80m to sell Gyokeres, a fee that United cannot afford due to financial constraints. The lack of Champions League football and the club's current state of transition have also contributed to the collapse of the deal.

With the door to Old Trafford firmly closed, United is exploring other options, including Victor Osimhen and Hugo Ekitike. Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta and free agent Jonathan David are also under consideration as potential signings for the club.

Meanwhile, Tottenham's pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo could complicate United's transfer plans, while a risky strategy involving Jadon Sancho's contract extension is being considered. Additionally, a top goalkeeper is reportedly open to a move to United, rejecting offers from Champions League clubs.
