The Iranian forces have shot down drones on a reconnaissance mission over northwestern Iran, ARY News reported quoting Iranian state media.

According to Iranian state media quoted by ARY News, Iranian forces have successfully intercepted drones conducting reconnaissance missions in northwestern Iran.

The state television reported that Islamic fighters in the Salmas border region shot down Israeli drones that breached Iranian airspace for espionage purposes.

Following a series of Israeli attacks, Iran retaliated with missile strikes on Israel, resulting in casualties and injuries.

Both Iran and Israel exchanged missile attacks and airstrikes early Saturday, with air raid sirens sounding in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, prompting residents to seek shelter.

The Israeli military confirmed dozens of missiles launched from Iran, some of which were intercepted, causing casualties and injuries.

Explosions were reported in Tehran, with two projectiles hitting Mehrabad airport, close to key Iranian leadership sites.

Iran launched multiple waves of airstrikes, targeting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, with witnesses reporting explosions in the capital.
