Together, for Liberty.

After a year-long battle, Helldivers 2 players are rejoicing as Sony has seemingly removed region locks on the game and other titles, allowing broader access worldwide. The fight began when Sony required players to have a PlayStation Network account to play the game on PC, leading to negative reviews and backlash from the community.

Despite Sony rolling back the PSN requirement, a region lock remained in place, preventing players from 177 countries from purchasing the game. However, recent changes have reduced the list of blocked countries to just eight, including Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Japan, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and Vietnam, allowing more players to join in on the cooperative multiplayer game.

The Helldivers 2 community has urged players to remove or update their negative reviews following the removal of region locks. Now, players from previously affected countries can join in the fight to defend Super Earth alongside their fellow Helldivers.

For those new to the game, Helldivers 2 has received positive reviews, scoring an impressive 4 out of 5 on TheGamer's review. It's the perfect time to jump in and experience the cooperative gameplay now that region locks are no longer a barrier.
