A 38-year-old driver who was wanted for three counts of estafa in Quezon, Bukidnon, was apprehended by authorities in Barangay Tapi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental. The arrest took place on Saturday, June 14, just three days after he returned to his wife's province.

The suspect, hailing from Bulacan, was taken into custody based on an arrest warrant for estafa under the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, issued by a Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 45 in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, on November 24, 2022.

For each of the three counts, the court imposed bails of P10,000, P28,000, and P30,000, respectively, for his temporary release, as confirmed by the police.

Police Capt. Sammy Gasataya, the deputy chief of Kabankalan City Police Station, mentioned that the suspect claimed the case arose from a dispute over an outstanding debt with his aunt.

Identified as the third most wanted individual in Quezon municipality, the suspect is expected to post bail on Monday, June 16, and return to Quezon town to address the charges.
