After experiencing days of rotating brownouts, stable electricity has been fully restored in the province of Siquijor, according to Malacañang. The National Electrification Administration (NEA) successfully completed the power restoration on June 14, a day before the deadline set by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., as announced in a Palace news release.

President Marcos personally intervened in the situation on June 11 and instructed NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda to take immediate action. NEA worked closely with the Province of Siquijor Electric Cooperative (Prosielco) to quickly repair the generation sets of the Siquijor Island Power Corporation (Sipcor). Additionally, NEA coordinated the transportation and installation of a generator set from the Palawan Electric Cooperative (Paleco), while rented gensets from Sipcor further bolstered the power supply.

These combined efforts increased Siquijor's total dependable power capacity to 11 megawatts (MW), surpassing the peak demand of 9 MW and providing a 1.65 MW reserve for any unforeseen circumstances. NEA has committed to ongoing monitoring to ensure consistent and reliable electricity for residents, businesses, and schools in the province.
