Winner: George Russell

George Russell impressed in Montreal, following up his strong practice sessions with a stellar qualifying lap to secure pole position for the second year in a row. The Mercedes driver then maintained his composure during the race, fending off Max Verstappen to claim his fourth Grand Prix victory and Mercedes' fifth win in Canada.

Russell's podium finishes this season (five) already surpass his total from last year, putting him just 19 points behind Verstappen in the battle for third place in the Drivers' standings.
