E-scooter Rider in Critical Condition After Road Incident in Finglas, Dublin

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

A young man in his 20s is currently in critical condition in a Dublin hospital following a serious road traffic incident in Finglas, Dublin.

The incident took place on Cappagh Road in Dublin 11 on Sunday, where the man was found on the road with severe injuries after 5pm while riding an e-scooter.

He was swiftly transported to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he remains in critical condition.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted a technical examination of the scene, leading to the reopening of the road.

Authorities are urging any witnesses to the incident to step forward. Road users or pedestrians who were in the Cappagh Road area between Heathfield and Cappagh Hospital from 4.45pm to 5.05pm and may have relevant camera footage, such as dash-cam footage, are encouraged to share it with the Gardaí.
