Missile strikes and fires have torn through Iran's nuclear and military facilities. These satellite images show the damage that has been inflicted by Israel's attacks.

Satellite imagery has unveiled the significant destruction caused by Israeli attacks on military and nuclear facilities in Iran. The images obtained from Maxar, a commercial satellite company, offer a detailed look at the aftermath of the missile strikes and fires that have ravaged these sites.

Amidst restrictions on press freedom and reports of limited internet access, these images provide valuable insights into the extent of the damage inflicted by the recent attacks.

Analysis of Damage

The latest pictures analyzed by ABC NEWS Verify show the impact of the missile strikes and subsequent fires on various facilities in Iran.

Natanz Nuclear Facility

The imagery highlights the damage sustained by one of Iran's crucial uranium enrichment facilities located near Natanz, south of Tehran. The analysis reveals several buildings in the north-west sector of the facility have been hit, along with new vehicle tracks and dirt piles on the premises.

Comparing the current images with those from 2003, it appears that large structures in the same location may have been buried over time. An Israeli military official confirmed significant damage to the Natanz site and reported similar destruction at the Isfahan nuclear facility.

Military Buildings

Aside from nuclear sites, the satellite images also show damage to parts of the Shahid Modarres Garrison rocket production facility near Bid Kaneh in northern Iran. This facility, known for its ballistic missile production, has witnessed strikes that caused substantial damage to several buildings.

Reuters previously reported that some of these structures were potentially used for drone manufacturing, although this claim could not be independently verified.

Buildings Burned

Additional images from Shiraz in south-central Iran depict a burning facility at the Shiraz Electronics Industries production site. This company, responsible for producing electronics for the Iranian military, including radar systems, has been targeted in the recent attacks.

Moreover, detailed imagery confirms multiple hits on a suspected missile facility in Kermanshah, western Iran. Reports from 2021 suggested that Kermanshah housed various missile deployment sites, including underground facilities.

The situation in Iran continues to evolve as these satellite images shed light on the widespread destruction caused by recent military actions.
