Fatal E-Scooter Crash in Finglas, Multiple Hospitalizations in Separate Incidents

A young man who was hospitalised after an e-scooter crash in Finglas yesterday evening has died.

A tragic incident occurred in Finglas as a young man who was involved in an e-scooter crash passed away after being hospitalized. The crash took place on Cappagh Road in Dublin 11 around 5pm. The victim, in his 20s, was treated for serious injuries at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown but unfortunately did not survive. Gardaí are urging any witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.

On a separate note, a two-car collision in Tuam, Co Galway resulted in one man sustaining serious injuries and four others being hospitalized with minor injuries. The incident happened on Tubberjarlath Road (R332) at 1:40am. Emergency services responded to the scene, with one driver in his thirties taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment. The other driver, a teenager, and three female passengers also received medical attention. The road is closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examine the area.

Additionally, in Co Clare, a man was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision at Killourney on the R460 between Tubber and Gort. The incident, involving a car and a motorbike, occurred at 12:30pm. The motorcyclist, in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Galway, while the car driver was unharmed. The road closure has been lifted, and witnesses are asked to provide any information to the authorities.
