In a recent incident in Bengaluru, a Rapido biker was caught on camera slapping a female passenger after an argument over rash driving. However, the biker claims that the woman physically assaulted him first, leading to his reaction. The woman, who works at a jewellery shop, confronted the rider mid-ride and refused to pay the fare or return the helmet.
The biker, Suhas, explained that the woman verbally abused him and physically assaulted him first when he didn't stop immediately as requested. He filed a complaint at the Jayanagar Police Station regarding the incident. The police later brought both parties to the station, where the woman initially refused to file a complaint.
A new CCTV footage has surfaced showing the woman hitting the rider three times during the confrontation. The police initially filed a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) based on the video evidence. However, the woman later came forward and registered a complaint, resulting in an FIR being filed.
