Aamir Khan's upcoming film 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has encountered a hurdle in its Indian release as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has requested two specific cuts.

The actor-producer has stood firm in his decision to not make any alterations to the film, emphasizing that every frame is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of the story.

Sources close to the production reveal that Aamir Khan is adamant that each aspect of 'Sitaare Zameen Par', including the contentious scenes, has been meticulously crafted with a specific purpose in mind. He believes that the narrative, dialogues, and characters collectively convey a significant message, and modifying or deleting them would dilute the film's impact.

This disagreement has resulted in a delay in the film's certification process in India. Without the CBFC's approval, the movie cannot be released in Indian theaters. To address this issue, Aamir Khan is set to personally meet with CBFC officials to elucidate the artistic vision behind the scenes and persuade the board to permit the film's unaltered release.

Interestingly, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has already secured clearance in the United Kingdom, receiving a 12A rating from the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). This rating indicates that the film is suitable for viewers under 12 if accompanied by an adult, despite containing references to discrimination and mild sexual content.
