Caíra Monaghan (née Ryan) was a beloved resident of Gortatresk, Killargue, Co. Leitrim, and had previously lived in Sligo Town. She passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and the compassionate care of the medical staff at North West Hospice.

She was the cherished wife of Darran and the adored mother of Kyrie. Caíra will be deeply missed by her husband, son, mother Siobhán, sister Glenesse, brother Caoilainn, grandparents Danny and Geraldine Monaghan, father-in-law Damien, as well as aunts, uncles, friends, and other relatives.

Her kind soul will always be remembered.

The family will receive visitors at McGowan’s Crematorium and Funeral Home in Collooney, Co. Sligo (F91AKW5) on Wednesday, June 18, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Celebration of Caíra’s Life will follow at 7:30pm.
