A man was seriously injured after falling off the Gardiner Expressway while trying to escape the police following an alleged carjacking, according to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
The incident took place on the Gardiner Expressway as the suspect attempted to flee from law enforcement. The SIU is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the carjacking and subsequent pursuit.
Law enforcement officials were in pursuit of the suspect after he was allegedly involved in a carjacking. The situation escalated when the suspect fell from the Gardiner Expressway while trying to evade capture.
