A woman tragically found stabbed after a gas explosion at her residence has been identified as Annabel Rook, a charity worker who dedicated her life to supporting refugees. The 46-year-old co-founded Mama Suze CIC, a charity that provides assistance to refugee and migrant women, including those who have escaped domestic violence, through art and drama activities.
Ms. Rook was discovered fatally injured at a house in Dumont Road, Stoke Newington, north London, early in the morning. A 44-year-old man, suspected of her murder, was also found with slash wounds and taken to the hospital. The Metropolitan Police believe the incident was related to domestic issues.
John Martin, who worked closely with Ms. Rook, expressed his devastation at the news of her passing. He described her as a vibrant and enthusiastic individual who was dedicated to improving the lives of women who had experienced trafficking. Neighbors and friends shared their shock and sadness at the tragic event.
