The new ZR1X is an even higher-performance Corvette that will take America's sports car to new heights.

Chevrolet recently unveiled the Corvette ZR1, boasting 1,064 horsepower, making it the fastest production car to date. However, the performance crown has now been passed to the new ZR1X, a higher-performance Corvette with 1,250HP, all-wheel drive, and a 0-60MPH acceleration in under two seconds. What's more, it's a hybrid. Here's a closer look at America's latest hypercar.

Corvette Lineup

The ZR1X joins an array of Corvette models catering to buyers with varying budgets. Starting from the Stingray at over $70,000 with 490HP, moving up to the E-Ray hybrid at slightly over $100,000 with 655HP, and the Z06 at over $110,000 with 670HP. The ZR1, priced around $175,000, was recently introduced with 1,064HP and a top speed of 233MPH, making it the most expensive Corvette to date.

Features of ZR1X

The ZR1X combines elements of the ZR1 and E-Ray, featuring a turbocharged V8 engine, an electrical layout from the E-Ray, and enhanced aerodynamics. With a battery pack capacity increase of 26%, the ZR1X offers new drive modes for optimized energy delivery. The car also boasts upgrades to the electric drive system and other components, resulting in a powerful 1,250HP.

Performance and Upgrades

The ZR1X features a set of massive carbon brakes, 16.5-inch discs at the front providing 1.9G of braking force. Despite the extra power, it rolls on the same size tires as the ZR1, balancing unsprung mass and driving dynamics. The car's traction management software has been fine-tuned to handle the increased power output.

Driving Experience

The ZR1X promises the same accessible performance feel as the Stingray, with ultimate traction and maximum acceleration. It offers a dynamic driving experience similar to the ZR1, with enhanced capability. While pricing details are not yet disclosed, the ZR1X is expected to be priced competitively with European exotics, reflecting its high-performance features.
