The Meghalaya Police's SIT reconstructed the crime scene of Raja Raghuvanshi's murder during his honeymoon. Accused Sonam Raghuvanshi and others were present, revealing details of the brutal killing.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya Police recently reconstructed the crime scene of Raja Raghuvanshi's murder during his honeymoon. The accused, including Sonam Raghuvanshi, were present during the reconstruction, shedding light on the brutal killing.

Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem described the reconstruction as successful, providing the police with a clear understanding of the events leading to the crime. The SIT traced the movements of the accused from the parking lot to the viewpoint where the murder occurred.

According to SP Syiem, the murder involved three individuals - Vishal, Anand, and Akash - who delivered fatal blows to Raja. The police are still searching for another machete used in the attack.

The investigation also revealed that Raja's mobile phone was intentionally damaged by Sonam and Vishal after the murder. The accused demonstrated how they destroyed the phone and left the crime scene.

Raja Raghuvanshi was first struck by Vishal, causing a fatal injury, while Sonam then moved away. The three accused later disposed of Raja's body by throwing it down a gorge.

SP Vivek Syiem confirmed that Sonam Raghuvanshi confessed to her involvement in the murder. The crime was premeditated, with the accused delivering fatal blows while Sonam destroyed Raja's phone.

Raja Raghuvanshi, a 29-year-old businessman, and his wife Sonam had gone to Meghalaya for their honeymoon. They went missing on May 23, and Raja's body was discovered on June 2 near Weisawdong Falls. Sonam was later apprehended on the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway.
