Iran recently fired the Sejjil-2, an ultra-heavy, long-range ballistic missile, towards Israel. The missile, measuring 18 meters in length, 1.25 meters in diameter, and weighing 23,600kg, is a powerful strategic weapon with solid fuel and long-range capabilities.
The Sejjil-2 has an estimated range of 2,000 km and a payload capacity of 700 kg. It is a two-stage, solid-fuel ballistic missile that can penetrate and destroy critical enemy targets.
During the recent conflict between Israel and Iran, the Sejjil-2 missile was intercepted by the IDF, causing minor damage to a vehicle. The conflict escalated after Israel targeted an Iranian nuclear site and Iranian missiles hit an Israeli hospital.
Iran claimed that the missile strike on the hospital was due to a 'blast wave' and that the target was an Israeli military site. The Sejjil-2 missile is considered one of Iran's most accurate and powerful weapons.
