In an interview with SFX Magazine, Edwards mentioned that the visuals of Scott's 2005 film Kingdom of Heaven served as a muse for the upcoming Jurassic World sequel set to release in 2025.

Reflecting on the cinematography of Kingdom of Heaven, Edwards expressed admiration, calling it 'perfection.' He specifically praised the work of John Mathieson, the director of photography, stating that every frame of the movie was flawless.

Edwards admitted his long-standing admiration for Ridley Scott's filmmaking, noting that he had always held a deep respect for Scott's body of work. When assembling the team for his new project, Edwards had a list of preferred collaborators, including individuals he trusted and respected.

The highly anticipated action sci-fi film will star Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett and Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis.
