Badz Magsumbol, a renowned Filipino papercut artist and visual storyteller, recently brought his artistry and advocacy to Europe with his first art and cultural mission in Belgium called 'Lakbay Sining'.

Magsumbol shared highlights from his activities on Facebook, which were part of the celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day.

The event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and exhibit opening on June 12, attended by special guests. This was followed by two art workshops - one for adults on June 14 at the Philippine Embassy and another for children on June 15 at Artistes du Monde for Kids, Rue des Cygnes.

Magsumbol's brother, Antonio Magsumbol, who is the GMA Integrated News Assistant Vice President, expressed his congratulations to Badz on his successful event through a Facebook post, thanking him for representing the Filipino flag and the AM team in Belgium.

Badz Magsumbol, a visual storyteller hailing from Valenzuela and currently based in Manila, is known for his advocacy of engaging with children through art both locally and internationally. His papercut artworks go beyond traditional two-dimensional pieces, evolving into intricate three-dimensional paper relief sculptures.
