Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, accompanied by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, recently met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul during the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Conference.

The discussion primarily revolved around the regional situation, focusing on the Iran-Israel conflict and its wider implications. The leaders also exchanged views on global tensions and emphasized the need for coordinated diplomatic efforts.

Field Marshal Asim Munir, who had just concluded an official visit to the United States, joined Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for this important meeting in Istanbul.

The meeting highlighted the commitment to enhancing Pakistan-Turkey bilateral relations, with both sides expressing a mutual desire to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.

During the meeting, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar conveyed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's greetings and well wishes to President Erdogan, underscoring Pakistan's strong emphasis on its ties with Turkey and acknowledging Ankara's leadership in regional and Islamic affairs.
