Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of Lucknow Super Giants, expressed his admiration for Rishabh Pant's remarkable century in the Leeds Test against England. Pant's audacious style and ability to reach a century with a six earned special praise from Goenka.

In the recent World Test Championship cycle's opening match, three young cricket stars - Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Rishabh Pant - showcased their talent by scoring centuries. This performance marked the beginning of a new era in Indian cricket following the retirements of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Goenka commended Pant for his outstanding century.

Goenka, who owns the LSG franchise captained by Pant in the IPL, lauded all three centurions for their exceptional displays. However, he highlighted Pant's fearless approach and skill in reaching a century with a six.

During his innings, Pant displayed a wide array of aggressive shots on his way to his seventh Test century. Despite a challenging IPL season, he made a strong comeback in red-ball cricket, hitting 12 fours and 6 sixes in his 137-run innings. Pant's innings was brought to an end when he was lbw offering no shot to Tongue after scoring 84 runs in boundaries.

Jaiswal, in his debut Test in England, took on the responsibility of setting the tone for India in the post-Kohli and Rohit era. He delivered a composed and confident hundred, showcasing his potential as a key player in India's future. Gill, leading the team and batting at No. 4, a position previously held by Kohli, faced doubts about his form outside Asia. However, he silenced his critics by scoring 147 runs with a solid performance.
