Pakistan closes its border with Iran while Jordan suspends flights but keeps land crossings with Israel operational.

Pakistan has decided to close all its border crossings with Iran indefinitely due to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, leading to significant travel disruptions. This decision comes as missiles are being fired through neighbouring countries, affecting the region's airspace as well.

Atta ul Munim, an official in Pakistan's Chaghi district, announced that crossing into Iran has been suspended until further notice. Similarly, Qadir Bakhsh Pirkani, a senior official in Balochistan province, confirmed the closure of border facilities along the 900km border with Iran.

Iran has closed its airspace in response to Israel's attacks, citing passenger safety as the main reason. On the other hand, Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport remains closed until further notice, with El Al Airlines suspending all flights until at least Thursday, and further cancellations extending to June 23.

Despite these closures, three land border crossings between Israel and Jordan - the Jordan River, the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge, and the Yitzhak Rabin crossings - are still operational. However, the Israeli National Security Council has advised its citizens against traveling through Jordan and Egypt due to security risks.

Jordan has closed its airspace for the second time since the conflict began, following the interception of ballistic missiles in Jordanian airspace. Several countries are making arrangements to evacuate their nationals from the conflict zone, with Poland planning to reroute its citizens through Jordan's capital and India assisting its students in Iran to relocate to safer areas.

Various airlines have also announced flight suspensions, with Russia's Aeroflot cancelling flights to Tehran and making changes to other Middle Eastern routes. Qatar Airways and Greece's Aegean Airlines have also temporarily cancelled flights to and from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Tel Aviv, Beirut, Amman, and Erbil.
