Head coach Neil Doak has named a 30-player squad for the World Rugby U20 Championship in Italy.

Head coach Neil Doak has revealed a 30-player squad for the upcoming World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Italy. The team will be led by Connacht's Éanna McCarthy during the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from June 29 to July 19.

Ireland has been placed in Pool C alongside New Zealand, Georgia, and the host nation in the 12-team competition. Despite a challenging Six Nations Under 20s Championship campaign with only one win in five matches, Doak expressed confidence in the team's resilience and character. He acknowledged the tough competition they will face at the World Championships but believes that their previous experiences have prepared them well for the upcoming challenge.

In addition to the men's squad, Ireland U20s women's head coach Niamh Briggs has also named a 35-player squad for the Six Nations Women's Summer Series in Wales next month. Jane Neill will once again captain the team, with 11 players from the previous squad included in the lineup for the upcoming competition.
